Cyber Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develop exploits, and engineer attack methodologies. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Network, host, cloud, data, or application security in multiple operating system environments
  • Experience with working with IP networking and networking protocols
  • Experience in working with Internet, web, application, and network security techniques
  • Experience with developing documentation to meet security requirements and guidance
  • Experience with creating test plans and conducting evaluations or prototyping
  • Knowledge of security technologies, including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail, and access lists
  • Knowledge of system security including, Windows, Solaris, and Linux, and security frameworks, including NIST
  • Knowledge of cross domain solutions that transfer data between networks operating at different classification levels
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Operational Technology Networks (OTN)
  • Experience with cyber security challenges with Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
  • Knowledge of Department of Energy (DoE) IT security policies, directives, and standards
  • CISSP, CEH, and GIAC Certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $103,600 - $210,700 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $108,600 - $247,300 (annualized USD)
