Communications Analyst

Key Role:

Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to foreign threats and homeland security. Determine procedures for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems and perform or direct scientific and technical intelligence analysis. Report changes, trends, and implications for the design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation, prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodologies and results, and provide work leadership for junior employees. Support Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and Defense agencies in the development, test and evaluation, and refinement of non-materiel improvements to strategic and nuclear C2 (NC2) forces’ communications. Provide support for assessing current doctrine and operational procedures within existing communications architectures. Assist the government with insights into communications requirements for logistics supply and mobility operations and analyze the specific contributions of relevant assets to the strategic C2 communications mission. Maintain responsibility for conducting in-depth functional area research, integrating subject matter expert input into doctrinal documents, and providing functional area expertise in tabletop exercise (TTX) and field test events.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience with communications planning for strategic military operations
-Experience with communications operations in a contested or degraded environment

-Experience with test or experimentation planning and analysis

-Knowledge of communications planning and operations at the CCMD, Service Component Command, or Defense Agency level

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with scientific or technical intelligence analysis

-Experience with testing and evaluation (T&E) preferred

-Experience with USSTRATCOM mission areas
-Knowledge of Unified and Combatant Command roles and responsibilities regarding NC2 strategic communications systems and procedures

-Knowledge of developing and training military doctrine for strategic-, operational-, and tactical-level operations
-Knowledge of Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) planning and execution
-Knowledge of NC2 planning and execution

-BA or BS degree in a technical field, military intelligence training, or equivalent experience preferred

Clearance:
