Software Sales Account Executive

Key Role:

Act as the primary point person to grow market presence in their respective domains. Work with executives and leaders at customer organizations to understand their challenges and find opportunities for Booz Allen's AI software product to support their needs, drive value, and manage and develop a growing book of business. Build and maintain customer relationships to create demand and use those relationships to quickly close business by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities. Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. Other responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key initial member of the sales team - grow current accounts, identify prospects, diagnose needs, prescribe solutions, negotiate, and problem solve to build customer demand for our product
  • Identify, engage, and close business within the DoD, intelligence community (IC), or commercial accounts
  • Position yourself as an industry leader by understanding customer needs and helping them drive value from our product
  • Set a strategic sales plan for your target markets and ensure it is in line with the business' strategic direction
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including product, engineering, marketing, and customer success and colleagues to provide new use cases and product feedback, develop fresh approaches to using the product, understand winning strategies, and champion sustained success
  • Understand the technical considerations, contracting requirements, and certifications specific to the US Federal Government or commercial customers

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with demonstrated successful software sales and quota carrying

-7+ years of experience with enterprise sales, including leading software or SaaS providers with expertise in the DoD and IC

-Experience with working in a fast-growing startup

-Experience in building consultative relationships with customers, prospects, and partners and establishing trust

-Experience in communicating with technologists, developers, and executives both verbally and in writing

-Knowledge of machine learning, systems architecture, enterprise application integrations, and working with software services

-Ability to demonstrate a track record of exceeding quota, self-motivation, have a sense of urgency and follow-through, multi-task, and work multiple sales opportunities simultaneously

-Ability to use time to achieve operational excellence and demonstrate passion for the software product to help tackle some of the most important machine learning challenges

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 10+ years of technology sales experience

Additional Qualifications:

-Secret clearance preferred
