Key Role:
Analyze the actual, predictable, interacting, and operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Participate in planning, scheduling, and coordinating selected analytical process phases or assist with working any selection of subcomponents of the exercise or gaming activity. Devise modeling and measuring techniques by leveraging expertise in mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, such as linear programming, game theory, probability theory, and symbolic language, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Apply comprehension of analytical models, simulations, and gaming tools. Guide the successful completion of major programs and function in a project leadership role, as needed. Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and work without appreciable direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of assignments.
Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with working in operations research, systems analysis, or management sciences
-Knowledge of program requirements and operational efficiencies, readiness, manpower, and modernization in a DoD environment
-Ability to conduct the development and application of optimization models to DoD issues and the development of independent assessments of studies, analyses, reports, and cost estimates
-Ability to conduct analysis of models and simulations to support verification and validation
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
-BA or BS degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, or IT preferred; MA or MS degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, or IT a plus
Clearance:
