Network Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Design and plan network systems, including providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements of a US federal government network environment that includes both applications and infrastructure. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, including routers, firewalls, servers, operating systems, and security applications. Evaluate and report on new technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide highly innovative and ingenious solutions. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital in order to help the firm grow its business.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with implementing Windows

-5+ years of experience with VMware infrastructure

-5+ years of experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Blade Server infrastructure

-5+ years of experience with Linux server technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and PKI

-5+ years of experience with implementing DoD Cybersecurity controls, including the use of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Readiness Reviews (SRRs), and the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

-Knowledge of Host-Based Security System (HBSS) implementation, including the configuration and monitoring of Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs)

-Ability to ensure IAVA/M and DoD STIG compliance

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree

-Security + Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with HP's 3PAR and cClass Blade architecture or alternative vendor equivalent

-Experience with a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and disaster recovery preparedness and administration using policy-based backup applications

-Knowledge of fibre channel fabric, zoning, and logical unit number management

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-MA or MS degree preferred

-CISSP, CCNA, VMware, or HBSS Certification
