Budget Analyst

The Challenge:

You will assist with resource management issues of assigned elements and assist government project managers with the preparation, coordination, monitoring, and execution of resource actions from program development through budget execution. Work with the Marine Corps and accounting tools, including the Standard Accounting Budgeting Reporting System (SABRS), SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval System (SMARTS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and Electronic Data Access (EDA).

You Have:

  • Experience with the Marine Corps and accounting tools, including the Standard Accounting Budgeting Reporting System (SABRS), SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval System (SMARTS); Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and Electronic Data Access (EDA)
  • Experience with resolving regular and special budget reports, including Unliquidated Obligations, Unmatched Disbursements, Liquidations Greater Than Expenses, and Commitments Not Equal to Obligations
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with interpreting program and dollar guidance received from HQMC.
  • Experience analyzing input from staff elements and establish a schedule for logical sequencing and timely accomplishment of program and budget cycles for multiple appropriations.
  • Experience analyzing budget estimates and supporting data and providing recommendations to assure compliance with regulatory and legal limitations and restrictions within the major resource programs.
  • Experience monitoring budget execution against quarterly benchmarks and recommend adjustments.
  • Experience analyzing monthly Status of Funds Report and compare data against current-year budget execution
  • TS/SCI clearance a plus
  • BA or BS degree
