Network Engineer

The Challenge:

Display technical expertise in the support of concept exploration, functional and technical requirements generation, development, implementation and enhancement of DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for the Marine Corps. Perform PKI Tier II troubleshooting on Marine Corps systems for PKI-specific incidents, including cryptographic logon, certificate validation, and domain controller certificates. Participate in and leverage PKI subject matter expertise in resolving issues within all Marine Corps networks in collaboration with other service providers. Provide hardware and software technical support to operate, troubleshoot, and scale three separate forests with completely separate infrastructure and services. Leverage expertise in the development, deployment, and configuration of Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure, Certificate Validation Infrastructure (CVI). Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design support personnel.

You Have:

  • 4 years of experience with Information Technology (IT) systems administration or network engineering.
  • Experience in working with one or more of the following technologies: Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMWare), storage area network (SAN), network switching, load balancing, Active Directory, Axway Validation Authority Suite software, Windows Server, Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), Card Management System (CMS), UNIX, or Linux operating systems and server hardware
  • Secret clearance required
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Security+ CE Certification


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including tactical PKI training
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) architecture and infrastructure and how PKI is integrated from the end-user to service delivery points
  • Top Secret clearance preferred
  • MCSA Certification in Windows Server 2008 or later version
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations Certification
  • CASP or CISSP Certification preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
