System Engineer, Senior

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape knowledge learning within a large federal customer by leading our engineering team in enhancing, architecting, designing, and implementing various aspects of the Azure Cloud infrastructure. You Have:

  • Experience with system documentation to include flowcharts, system diagrams and other documentation
  • Experience with PowerShell scripts to automate system support tasks
  • Experience with maintaining day-to-day health of Azure cloud infrastructure for monitoring productivity, security, and optimization
  • Knowledge of a systematic engineering approach to the design, architecture, requirements elicitation, development, operation and use of cloud technologies and platforms for mission solutions
  • Ability to architect, configure, and support Azure physical and cloud server environments, identify technical requirements, and make suggestions regarding technical requirements and best practices
  • Ability to support the Splunk application, including installing and setting the application and forwarders, writing SPL queries, setting up alerts, and managing daily ingest to not exceed license threshold
  • Ability to lead a small team of system administrators and DBAs
  • Ability to demonstrate independence and leadership in being a thought and people leader
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with transferring system engineering expertise to system administrators and managing their day-to-day activities
  • Experience with learning management environments

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
