Attack Surface Management Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

Join our team as a Zero Trust Vulnerability Attack Surface Reduction Analyst, where you'll play a key role in developing and delivering cutting-edge attack surface reduction consulting and operations services to our commercial clients. As part of our dedicated team, you'll contribute to delivering world-class cybersecurity solutions, including vulnerability management, security testing, and application security development programs, all within the Zero Trust framework and tailored specifically for large enterprise customers. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering vulnerability management and attack surface reduction services to our clients, while also proactively recommending and documenting improvements in Zero Trust Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) and Threat and Vulnerability Management. You'll conduct thorough vulnerability attack surface assessments and threat modeling to identify weaknesses in controls and assess control effectiveness within the Zero Trust architecture. Additionally, you'll perform root cause analysis on identified vulnerabilities and attack surface weaknesses, guiding the development of technical solutions and assisting in risk triage and prioritizing remediation activities.

You Have: 

  • 1+ years of experience in vulnerability management and Cybersecurity operations.
  • 1+ years of experience in utilizing vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys, Rapid7, or Tenable Nessus
  • Experience in handling databases, CSV files, and data sources to extract, analyze, and optimize large datasets, including enhancing aspects of attack surface vulnerability management processes
  • Experience with Cybersecurity principles and methodologies, including vulnerability management, application security, incident response, governance, risk, compliance, and security architecture
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • 2 years of experience with attack surface reduction 
  • 1 year of experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking 
  • Experience with security or secure coding and software development
  • Experience with server application and network security hardening
  • Experience with other attack surface reduction or VM platforms, including Kenna, Microsoft Defender, Metasploit, RiskIQ, or Tripwire
  • CISSP, CISM, or CEH Certification
  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Certified Control Systems Technician (CCTS), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), ISO 27001 Auditor, or other ICS-related certification, preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
