Health and Research Analytics Expert

Key Role:

Apply expertise in problem-solving to developing solutions to operational, strategic, and data challenges for federal public health agencies. Use data resources and bioinformatics software to develop specialized databases and analytical tools. Recommend approaches and enhancements to analytical, processing, and statistical software and support the provision of access to relevant data. Contribute to or lead project delivery teams to provide subject matter knowledge or analytical support in the execution of project approaches. Leverage expertise across a wide variety of areas, including the digital health and research enterprises, such as information retrieval technology, data storage, data mining, expert systems, networking, and training. Provide direction to staff on the development of advanced IT solutions to integrate clinical and non-clinical data into regulatory business processes and decision making. Identify and incorporate innovative and emerging technologies that will meet the needs of client regulatory reviewers as their requirements and needs evolve.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-5+ years of experience with working for one or more of the following: health or medical product industries, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, marketing, strategy, operations, manufacturing, analytics, or consulting, or strategy or management consulting

-Experience with federal working groups, including the Department of Health and Human Services

-Experience with clinical and non-clinical data management and analysis

-Knowledge of HHS initiatives in digital health, data science, and research

-Ability to work in a team-based or project environment

-Ability to lead projects or tasks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Life Sciences, Health and Bio-Informatics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with managing teams

-Possession of excellent analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in Life Sciences, Health and Bio-informatics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics preferred; MPH, MBA, or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Health and Bio-Informatics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics a plus
