We have an opportunity for you to apply your experience in deep learning frameworks, natural language processing, and Large Language Models (LLMs) for the DoD.
As an advanced data scientist in Booz Allen’s Chief Data Office, you’ll work closely with a diverse team of professionals to understand client needs and solve complex problems through the application of artificial intelligence. You Have:
- 2+ years of experience applying data science techniques and machine learning algorithms and methodologies to solve real world problems
- Experience implementing data analysis within programing languages such as Python or R, including deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience analyzing complex data sets using data analysis and visualization software such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to experience and non-experience groups
- Ability to learn and apply unfamiliar software quickly and independently
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Material Science, EE, Mathematics, Information Science, Data Science, or CS
Nice If You Have:
- 5+ years of experience developing and implementing data science and machine learning applications or tools
- Knowledge of LLMs built around transformer architectures
- Knowledge of current research in Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing
- Knowledge of different software development approaches, including DevSecOps and AIOps
- Master’s degree in Physics, Material Science, EE, Mathematics, Information Science, Data Science, or CS preferred; Doctorate degree in Physics, Material Science, EE, Mathematics, Information Science, Data Science, or CS a plus
- IT Security Certification such as CompTIA Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
