Quantum Scientist, Sr.

Key Role:

Perform cutting-edge research on quantum computing and data science topics. Lead projects with a team of researchers and research quantum computing, quantum information processing, quantum algorithms, and advanced analytics. Interface with clients to share information and communicate goals, designs, and results. Analyze and review research design, operations, and integrated project schedules and participate in strategic planning efforts. Perform basic quantum research and learn and apply expertise in crossovers. Assist with machine learning, quantum problems, writing and publishing articles, and proposing novel research directions.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with active physics research, including graduate school and postdoctoral research 

-2+ years of experience with research in the areas of ion traps, superconducting qubits, semiconducting circuits, and linear optics or theoretical research on topics of quantum computing, quantum information, or quantum annealing

-Experience with programming for analytics or scientific applications, including Python and R

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with project management for scientific projects

-Experience with data science, including analysis, data visualization, and machine learning

-Secret clearance

-PhD degree preferred
