AI and ML Software Architect

The Opportunity: 

As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support a data initiative necessary for this role. As an AI/ML architect on our Accelerator Team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.    
 

In this role, you’ll lead the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit AI/ML algorithms and introducing leading-edge technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of AI/ML architects across the firm and collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, solution architects, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions to real-world problems. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of AI/ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:  

  • 4+ years of experience designing, testing, and building ML Models into production environments 

  • 3+ years of experience with integrated development environments, including Jupyter Notebook, Google Collab, Visual Studio, or DataBricks  

  • Experience with containerization for application deployment, including Docker or Kubernetes 

  • Experience with Python, C, C++, Java, or Scala  

  • Experience with AI/ML Frameworks and Libraries, including TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MLFlow, and SKLearn 

  • Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications  

  • Experience with model architectures, including encoders, decoders, transformers, and deep-learning models, including RNN or LSTM

  • Experience working with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub actions   

  • Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree  

Nice If You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data 

  • Experience with distributed data and computing tools Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka  

  • Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google 

  • Experience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting  

  • Experience with Agile engineering practices  

  • Experience writing technical documentation    

  • Knowledge of industry Cyber Security practices 

  • Ability to quickly adapt and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions  

  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
