Aircraft Support Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Support the development of naval exercise objectives, exercise planning, and data collection from participating fixed and rotary wing aircraft for anti-submarine warfare, exercise reconstruction, and post-mission analysis. Communicate exercise results verbally and in written formats to representatives of naval commands, engineering labs, and program offices. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with aircraft operations and warfare tasks
  • Experience with developing movement plans and maneuver schemes
  • Experience with drafting test and data collection plans
  • Experience with observing and collecting data from aircraft participating in exercises
  • Ability to embark ships or embed at command centers to observe and collect data for analysis
  • Ability to use data to reconstruct and analyze aircraft engagements during exercises
  • Ability to develop technical documents in support of exercise planning, execution, reconstruction, and analysis
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED

Additional Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with planning exercise activities, including Navy fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft
  • Experience with coordinating the assembly, installation, interfacing, removal and system restoration, repair, and testing of aviation data collection equipment (ADCE) used during exercises
  • Experience with briefing and debriefing aircrews on exercise event plans and mission results
  • Experience with the Tsunami replay toolset
  • Experience as a Naval Aircrewman or Operation Specialist with Aviation Support Tactical Coordinator qualification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • BA or BS degree
