Business Analytics Access Developer

Key Roles:

Provide analysis and consulting to help support government clients with a wide range of data-related challenges, ranging from improving mission outcomes, measuring risk, optimizing financial decisions, to strengthening data management approaches. Analyze data to recommend efficiencies, policy changes and improved outcomes. Build Microsoft Access databases to automate common processes, facilitate an efficient decentralized capture of business data, write queries for effectively isolating relevant data and develop user forms that provide an intuitive user interface. Apply a passion for people and problem solving to help enable government to better leverage a wide range of technology and data management tools to support more timely and efficient government outcomes.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with developing split database solutions in Microsoft Access
  • 3+ years of experiencing in writing Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code in Microsoft Access
  • Experience with synthesizing multiple sources of input, including .txt, .csv, and .xlsx and perform data transformation routines to organize and manage data for analysis
  • Experience with reading and writing SQL code in Microsoft Access or SQL Server
  • Experience with documenting functional and technical requirements for database development
  • Experience with business writing
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with Tableau, Qlik or PowerBI
  • Experience with the DoD environment, data structures and systems
  • Ability to connect the dots with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across different functional groups
  • Ability to meet deadlines or manage multiple deadlines
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MA or MS degree in a quantitative or technology related field
