Network Architect, Mid

Key Role:

Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Manage internetworking of various operating systems that may include windows NT/95 and one or more versions of UNIX, across both LAN/WAN. Monitor the performance and stability of networks. Configure systems to user environments. Support acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with developing Concepts of Operations, Requirements, Basis of Design, and critical design documents and drawings
  • 3+ years of experience with proposing new networking technologies in support of LANs, WANs, and wireless networks for inclusion in future designs
  • 3+ years of experience with Security Operations Center functions, including continuous monitoring, operating, reporting, detection, investigation, and defending and maintaining the telecommunications, networks, and cybersecurity components
  • 3+ years of experience with developing detailed end-to-end network performance assessments
  • 3+ years of experience with telecommunications and networks transformation and modernization planning to optimize and improve efficiency of services, and enhance network design
  • Experience with telecommunications and networks in cloud environments, including hybrid cloud
  • Experience with NIST SP 800 series information security management aligned to Enterprise telecommunications and networks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise IT telecommunications and networks with emphasis in DoD capabilities
  • Experience with designing, developing, building, and implementing information security within networks using DoD information security standards, network infrastructure life cycle management, and developing detailed end-to-end network performance assessments
  • Experience with performing network engineering and architecting duties on projects that support at least 1,000 users either internationally or across CONUS
  • Experience in deploying, managing, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex Splunk Enterprise environments
  • Knowledege of Splunk Deployment Methodology and best practices for planning, data collection, and sizing for a distributed deployment
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot a standard distributed deployment with indexer and search head clustering
  • Cisco Certified Architect or similar commercial enterprise network architect Certification
  • Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skills
