The Challenge:

What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting next generation C4ISR solutions for the Navy, Marine Corps, and United States Air Force? We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Linux, Windows, and Microsoft Server with a solid background in vulnerability remediation to help us develop, integrate, test and field next generation prototype Protected Satellite Communications Ground Entry Terminals.
As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll support the maintenance of the systems security posture performing ACAS vulnerability scanning and patching of the system's environment and provide engineering and logistics support to laboratories that include equipment integration, equipment procurement, equipment shipping and receiving, and cabling fabrication. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in systems engineering activities such as developing, revising, and reviewing connectivity diagrams, design schematics, test plans, test reports, and coordinate reviews of drafts, adjudicate, and incorporate comments and manager revisions. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:
2+ years of experience integrating GOTS and COTS network equipment
Experience with DELL PowerEdge-740 Server
Experience with Microsoft and LINUX Operating Systems (OS)
Experience with System Administration (sysadmin) functions and Window Server
Experience with installing and updating Microsoft and LINUX software applications
Experience with software applications What’s Up Gold and TripWire Enterprise
Experience developing, reviewing, and executing test plans and procedures
Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Vulnerability Scanning
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with GSync II Model 402 time or frequency distribution systems, KG-175D, and HST 3000s
Experience with Juniper products
Experience with computer networking, including OSI Model, and configuring and troubleshooting network devices
Experience with System/Subsystem Specification (SSS), Interface Control Document (ICD), and System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD)
Experience performing system evaluations, requirement reviews, and trade studies to determine where changes might be recommended to correct deficiencies, achieve cost savings, and improve operations
Experience planning and executing both informal and formal test events
Experience communicating effectively orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
Clearance:
