Net Zero Strategy and Implementation Lead

As Net Zero Strategy and Implementation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy, roadmap, and implementation of emissions reduction initiatives to meet Booz Allen’s net zero and climate goals. You will partner with key business owners to develop and execute a net-zero transition plan. You will also support a broad range of projects based on the needs of the business. What You’ll Do:

As a Net Zero Strategy and Implementation Lead on our team, you’ll:

  • Develop, execute, organize, and manage inter-connected projects within the Climate Impact Initiative portfolio.
  • Facilitate alignment between teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Organize and leverage employee groups to advance ESG program objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and strategic timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in sustainability, corporate governance, or ESG
  • Experience with ESG and benchmarking performance for corporate growth
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide integrated and durable solutions
  • Experience socializing and implementing innovative ideas and process improvements across functional areas to yield positive outcomes for the client and team
  • Ability to develop clear and compelling business cases to gain buy-in on specific courses of action, communicate the benefits of change, and help clients and teams overcome resistance to change
  • Ability to identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions
  • Ability to translate technical advice into clear business solutions
  • Ability to execute against clear objectives, priorities, and success metrics or KPIs
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through continuous interface with firm leadership, program managers, and high-level clients
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with government contracting, including in a professional services firm
  • Experience with climate and energy science, sustainability, and environmental and social issues, standards, and policy
  • Experience with influencing and collaborating across large-scale organizations to drive new programs
  • Experience in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Knowledge of energy-related technologies, renewable energy sources, and net zero initiatives
  • Ability to become a trusted partner and advisor to business teams and senior management
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as a self-starter across a variety of competing priorities
  • Possession of excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
