Key Role:
Provide Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) subject matter expertise for clinical research and patient care. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for mild, moderate, severe, and penetrating TBI. Interface directly with TBI leadership, providing expertise in content development, including tasks, slide decks, EXSUMs, information papers, and other reports. Collaborate with TBI leadership, DoD health care policy offices, and other SMEs to support the development of training platforms, TBI panels, TBI DoD research projects, and program improvement initiatives. Apply expertise to prepare presentations of posters and papers at scientific meetings related to TBI. This position will require travel within the US, when necessary to accommodate client needs and is located in Washington, DC.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the area of healthcare or healthcare research
Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals on the topic of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and presenting at professional conferences and meetings
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Doctorate degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Experience with DoD VA health systems preferred
Ability to complete CITI HIPPA training
Ability to travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Doctorate degree in Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurosurgery, Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, or Neuro-Optometry
