Key Role:

Provide TBI research expertise related traumatic brain injury (TBI). Lead the development of research and clinical studies and carry out all responsibilities related to these projects. Assist in the development and testing of new technologies, protocols, and processes, and interpret study data with technical and professional staff. Collaborate with other Research Scientists and teams across Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE). This position will require travel within the US, when necessary to accommodate client needs and is located in Washington, DC. 　

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with producing data and manuscripts for publications in peer review journals  
• Experience with conducting presentations at professional meetings  
• Experience with working in the Microsoft Office suite 
• Knowledge of applicable complex scientific procedures and techniques 
• Ability to facilitate high-level database coding, SPSS syntax writing, statistical analyses, and manuscript writing 
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Master's degree and 10 years of experience with clinical traumatic brain injury (TBI) research or Doctorate degree

Additional Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with DoD, military, or VA systems of care with neurological disorders and traumatic brain injury (TBI) clinical research experience preferred 
• Ability to complete CITI/HIPPA training 
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
