As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve a DoD client. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, develop workflows, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help senior leadership make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in national security.

You Have:

• Experience with a programming language, including JavaScript, Python, or R, and developing scripts for knowledge capture, hypothesis testing, visualization, and process automation

• Experience with spatial analysis tools and concepts, data mining methods, database structures, and analytic information extraction and visualization

• Experience with modeling software for processes, repeatability, efficiency, knowledge capture, hypothesis testing, visualization, and process automation

• Experience with programmatically connecting to database and web-based data sources

• Experience with applied data processing and scientific analysis of large datasets and machine learning

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Pig, Java, or SQL

• Experience with running command line operations in Windows or Linux

• Experience with visualization tools including ggplot, Plotly, Matplotlib, D3, Tableau, or Bokeh

• Experience with databases and web data sources

• Experience with computational analytics modeling

• Experience with cloud-based technologies

• Experience in intelligence, defense, international relations, or public administrating multi-disciplines

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Master's degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
