Imagery Remote Sensing Scientist

Key Role:

Apply remote sensing principles and methods to analyze data and solve problems in the areas of defense and national security and develop analytical techniques and new applications for existing systems. Demonstrate and leverage expertise in advanced geospatial exploitation methodologies, statistical and algorithmic analyses, and tailored software application support. Support informational briefings for the purpose of educating analysts and managers on the capabilities of spectral data and its potential application and deliver technical and operational support to projects and programs. Apply optical science and engineering to develop active and passive electro-optical and infrared remote sensing applications. Perform analysis and conduct experiments to characterize and model point spread function and develop methods to extract signals from noisy data by using existing tools and develop new ones. Support geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysis and operation support for data processing, data analysis, and analytic support and maintain responsibility for supporting processing, exploitation, and dissemination of data from multiple sensors, including operations and production support and produce phenomenology reports.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with using MATLAB and Python image processing toolkits required

-Experience with optical science and engineering to develop active or passive electro-optical and infrared remote sensing applications

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-MA or MS degree preferred
