Instructional Systems Designer

Key Role:

Design and develop learning solutions using adult learning practices and methods for instructor-led, web-based, performance-support, distributed learning, or any blend of these delivery methods. Cultivate a basic subject-matter understanding through materials provided and individual research or collaboration with content stakeholders. Create and modify web-based training materials using Articulate Storyline software. Maintain developed content on learning management or content management systems. Communicate processes and procedures to faculty as they begin to work with developed course materials. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as an ISD or working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and synchronous and asynchronous learning content in a formal academic or professional education and training environment

  • Experience in a professional, customer-facing environment

  • Experience in SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to write, edit, review, and format customer-ready materials

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience using Articulate Storyline software to develop, edit web and computer-based training materials

  • Experience with e-Learning standards, including SCORM and Section 508 requirements, web usability standards and practices, and evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick

  • Knowledge of learning management systems, including Blackboard, or content management systems, including SharePoint

  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community

  • BA or BS degree in Instructional Systems Design, Education Technology, or related field

  • Blackboard Certified Trainer Program Certification, Teaching and Learning Online Certification Series, or Teaching and Learning Online Advanced Certification Series and Administrator Certifications, including Articulate Storyline Certification
