The Opportunity:

Do you love solving problems? Are you passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, and developing recommendations for a creative solution? On our multi-disciplinary team of analysts and data scientists, you’ll apply analytic techniques including optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, Data Engineering, and multi-objective decision analysis to deliver innovative solutions and inform Senior DOD leadership decisions. You won’t go at it alone; you’ll work alongside our team of experienced data scientists and operations research analysts to conduct research, collaborate with stakeholders, develop and deploy models and simulations, construct and automate data pipelines, prepare visualizations, and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data to help develop cutting edge capabilities and address pressing issues for the DOD. Join us. You Have:  

• Experience developing and applying simulation and optimization models
• Experience conducting data analysis on complex sets of quantitative data
• Experience and proficiency with one or more programming languages
• Experience with cloud computing environments, including AWS and Azure
• Experience leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and diverse environment
• Ability to work onsite in the national capital region
• Secret clearance 
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science

Nice If You Have:  

• 2+ years of experience in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computers Science, or Data Science
• Experience within the DoD
• Experience in Software Development and using data bricks and Apache Spark to conduct analysis
• Experience developing visualizations and dashboards using Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI
• Experience applying an Agile approach to analysis and product development
• Experience conducting and automating data engineering tasks
• Experience building client relationships, developing requirements to inform analyses, and presenting results to stakeholders
• Experience in R, Python, SQL, and Git
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Master’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Industrial Engineering, or Data Science
