Country Planner

Key Role:

Provide direct support to meet a Special Operations Command’s strategic and operational level objectives by developing Special Operations Forces (SOF) specific plans and staff support. Coordinate with Allied or partner Special Operations Commands to develop country plans for priority countries. Analyze deliberate planning processes through coordination with Commands’ battle rhythms. Coordinate, synchronize, deconflict, and integrate special operations and planning efforts to maximize tactical and operations effectiveness. Analyze the Campaign Support Plan (CSP) with respect to the client’s intermediate military objectives to determine tasks and effects at the country level. Support mission analysis, course of action (COA) development, analysis, and approval, and analyze the development of commanders’ estimates and country plans to support orders development and various unconventional and irregular warfare (UW/IW) options for consideration and execution.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience with operational and military planning, including analyzing the development, coordination, and execution of Special Operations participation in Service, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and CMMD operations, exercises, demonstrations, and experiments

  • 5+ years of experience as part of an TSOC or service component staff ​ 

  • Experience with using Measures of Performances (MOPs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) to evaluate task performance and progress towards achieving objectives

  • Knowledge of Special Operations capabilities or limitations

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with developing and deploying data driven analytics and event-driven analysis

  • Experience with planning or operations within the USEUCOM AOR

  • Knowledge of Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP) and Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX), or Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES)

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
