Integrated Air and Missile Defense Analyst

Key Role:

Provide Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) subject matter expertise in support of a U.S. Command’s plans, programs, operations, actions, and activities, including crisis action planning, current operations, future operations, and deliberate plans. Conduct assessments of U.S., Allied, and partner nation IAMD capabilities against current and future air and missile threats. Develop IAMD products, including defense designs, concepts of operations (CONOPS), risk-to-mission analysis, and adversary air and missile threat assessments. Serve as a member of Joint and combined Operational Planning Teams (OPT) and provide IAMD subject matter expertise and recommendations in support of the Command’s crisis action planning, current and future operations, and deliberate planning efforts. Prepare and coordinate orders, instructions, and directives related to IAMD in support of the Command’s plans, operations, actions, and activities. Prepare executive-level briefings, presentations, reports, assessments, information papers, and correspondence related to U.S., Allied, and partner nation IAMD plans, operations, actions, and activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with upper-tier or lower-tier air and missile defense systems or Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) command and control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems

  • 3+ years of experience with IAMD plans and operations at the strategic, theater, or tactical level

  • Experience with Joint or Combined Operational Planning with the Joint Staff, a U.S. Combatant Command, or US Combatant Command component staff

  • Knowledge of Joint and Combined operational planning process, U.S. and foreign air and missile defense systems, IAMD operations, and space-based IAMD capabilities

  • Ability to gather data, conduct analysis, and write technical assessments and reports

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing strategic or theater-level IAMD defense designs, CONOPS, and threat assessments

  • Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), such as development of Integrated Priority List (IPL) and requirement validation through the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC)

  • Experience developing urgent requirements for Combatant Commands such as Joint Urgent Operational Needs (JUON) or Joint Emergent Operational Needs (JEON)

  • Experience working with Joint Staff J8 and Joint IAMD Office (JIAMDO) regarding future capability requirements

  • Experience with Missile Defense Warfighter Involvement Process (WIP)

  • Experience with working at a military headquarters staff and military staffing procedures

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
