Key Role:
Integrate enterprise data sources in a federated computing environment and administer Data as a Service (DaaS) capabilities to provide customers with newfound situational awareness, operational intelligence, and insight for informed decision making. Manage and administer Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to ingest various data sources into a centralized data lake. Apply advanced comprehension of SQL to write, optimize, and debug database queries, procedures, and functions. Use relational database concepts and theories to cleanse data and identify anomalies which may lead to inaccurate reporting. Profile, clean, and normalize large data sets for ingestion into a data lake using tools and programming languages, including Informatica PowerCenter, R Studio, VBA, Microsoft Access, and SQL. Develop data strategies to successfully oversee data flow from ingestion to repository storage and then ultimately to dashboards, interfaces, tools, and other stakeholder databases. Collaborate with teammates, data providers, and end-users to successfully transform data into information that meets stakeholder requirements and contributes to leadership decision making.
Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience in developing, automating, and managing ETL processes on remote systems using industry standard tools, including Informatica and IBM DataStage and integrating data with API’s, including ODBC, SOAP, RESTful, and other web services
-5 years of experience with relational databases and writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or IBM Netezza
-5 years of experience with converting data from and to XML, CSV, and JSON file formats
-2 years of experience in working with an Agile or Scrum development processes
-1 year of experience with object-oriented programing languages, including C++, C#, or Java and scripting languages, including Python, R, Bash, Batch, and PowerShell
-Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
-Knowledge of writing software with an emphasis on programming logic and constructs
-Ability to troubleshoot integration, application, and database issues
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with industry standard ETL tools, including Tableau or Informatica PowerCenter
-Experience with the following languages: R, Python, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or PowerShell
-Experience with the handling and processing of classified information
-Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts
-Knowledge of emerging technology solutions, including cloud and NoSQL environments, such as HDFS and Hadoop, and geographically-enabled databases, such as GIS systems, real-time data processing applications, and DoD variants
-Knowledge of IT security at the Security+ level
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) Certification
