Cloud Engineer

The Challenge:

As a Cloud engineer on our team, you’ll work with the client to architect, secure, and deploy Cloud systems to fit the mission’s needs. You’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the environment and knowledge of various on-premises, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with clients and fellow engineers and information assurance team members to inform strategy and architecture design in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest Cloud resources as you prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with design, deployment, or management of Cloud environments, including AWS, Azure or GCP

  • Experience leading the migration, architecting, building, or deploying of systems and applications in Cloud platforms

  • Experience with monitoring, maintenance, and security of critical infrastructure components

  • Knowledge of networking, security groups, and policy management for cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including Linux or Windows

  • Knowledge of foundational system administration principles

  • Knowledge of classified environment processes and protocols

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience with system administration in lieu of a degree

  • Ability to obtain 8570 IAT Level II or III Certification within 60 days of hire


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience leading a team of cloud professionals on one or more projects or efforts

  • Knowledge of DoD accreditation processes

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps for designing, developing, and delivering using appropriate automation techniques or tools

  • Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • AWS or Azure Certifications

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT Level II or higher Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
