The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in next-generation Local Information Systems Security? Maintain and troubleshoot an integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected. Install, configure, and validate secure complex systems. Analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, and evaluating to provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Interface with the client during the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Assist the local Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). This position is located at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with systems administration
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure or equivalent technologies, Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, anti-virus, and backups
  • Experience with implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Servers and services, e-mail, Microsoft (SCCM), PowerShell, Active Directory, Network Attached Storage (NAS) shares, group policies, provision storage, package, and deploying network-based applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot, administer, and maintain enterprise virtualization, database, storage, systems management, or other data center-related resources and infrastructure
  • Ability to work independently and effectively complete assignments and projects in a timely manner
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant Certification


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with administration of a Cross-Domain Solution (CDS), Cisco Routers and Switch administration, Database administration and Structured Query Language (SQL), and GPS receivers and Network Time Protocol (NTP)
  • Experience in supporting operators of a DoD Mission System
  • Knowledge of Solaris, Linux, and GPS
