Audio Visual Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Supervise or manage technology-specific implementation projects. Manage and supervise multiple engineering teams or departments in highly complex telecommunications internetworking, data network, and CTI/VVID converged networks.  Provide lead analysis and consultation for complex CTI/VVID converged networks designs.  Provide leadership or direction on research and testing associated with telecommunications, internetworking, data networks, and CTI/VVID converged networks projects, as well as interoperability and integration testing. Perform management responsibilities for a program or network staff.  Perform modeling and simulation services for complex CTI/VVID converged networks. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with CUCM, CUBE, IP Gateways, and inter-governmental secure communications
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications, internetworking, data network, and CTI/VVID fields
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: routing and switching infrastructures, transport technologies, network management, IP telephony integration, advanced network security, ISP/ dial-up, and SNA/IP migration for CTI/VVID converged networks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics
  • CCNP Collaboration certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading or supervising a team and working as part of an integrated product team (IPT) to deliver services to customers  
  • Ability to conduct in-depth technical and non-technical conversations concerning work and convey technical and non-technical discussions into easily understandable and grammatically correct written documentation
  • Ability to work and lead under pressure in a complex and changing technical environment
  • Possession of excellent customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 – Professional and working proficiency in writing, reading, speaking, and understanding the English language certification
