Business Process Specialist

The Opportunity:

When an organization has multiple moving parts involved in their processes, it can be difficult for them to examine their processes critically. If they want to learn how to become more efficient and successful, they need a consultant who will take the time to learn their business or mission end-to-end and provide them with ways to change for the better. That’s why we need you, a business process specialist who can learn how to analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the steps to improve their process.

As a business process specialist on our team, you’ll help analyze your client’s operating environment and identify areas for improvement. You’ll sit in on discussions with clients and other stakeholders that will help refine the definition of success and identify pain points. You’ll assist with monitoring spend plans, tracking metrics, aligning the right resources to , and ensuring continuous business process improvement. On our team, you’ll use process improvement frameworks, often integrated with automation solutions, to provide your client with recommendations along with a solid grasp of the quantitative and qualitative results they can expect. This is your chance to gain experience in the Information Technology field, while building process improvement skills.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in DoD or DoN financial and cost analysis

  • Experience with developing metrics, reports, documents, and executive level briefings in support of senior leadership

  • Experience with business and financial analysis, including analyzing spend plans and tracking budget execution against defined obligation and expenditure benchmarks

  • Knowledge of DoD Financial Management and process improvement principles 

  • Ability to analyze and compile data to respond to detailed information requests 

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the acquisition life cycle, including aligning business decisions to strategic and operational priorities

  • Experience with SAFe, Kanban, or Lean-Agile processes and methodologies 

  • Experience with Agile software project management tools, including ServiceNow

  • Experience with Low Code/No Code development platforms, including Microsoft Power Platform

  • Ability to build trust and value-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • DoD Financial Management Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
