Clinical Integration Lead

Key Role:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as Clinical Integration Leader. Coordinate Command Center (CC) operations between Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Veteran's Health Association (VHA). Serve as a team lead for integrators, coordinators, council admins, and SMEs. Create new approaches and apply clinical and management expertise to support this integration. Coordinate with PM counterparts and CC Controller to align delivery, data calls and reporting. Work with Process Reengineering Team and Larger CMIO team to align Councils to specific short-term initiatives. Coordinate between Councils and external groups so that information flows in a controlled and timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a professional environment 
  • Experience supervising and creating new approaches and solutions
  • Experience leading teams
  • Ability to assess information and needs of healthcare professionals and patients, and characterize, evaluate, and refine clinical processes
  • Ability to develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support systems, and leads or participates in the procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems, including EHRs and order-entry systems
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Medicine, Nursing, Biology, Health IT, Health Informatics, IT, CS, or Engineering or an additional 12+ years of experience with working in a professional environment in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA 
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
  • Experience with Agile Framework
  • Doctorate degree in Healthcare, Medicine, Nursing, Biology, Health IT, Health Informatics, IT, CS, or Engineering
  • PMP or related Project Management Certification
