Cloud Security Analyst, Junior

The Challenge:

We have the technology, but do we know how to use it? In an industry where “Cloud” is sometimes synonymous with “genie,” it’s important to have someone on your team who knows how to engineer Cloud-based and hybrid on-premise and Cloud-based solutions. That’s why we need you, an engineer who knows how hardware and software components fit together and integrate with Cloud-based resources, to help us modernize mission critical systems across a variety of our top clients.

As a Cloud Engineer on our team, you’ll help to create Cloud Security solutions to drive the next wave of innovation. You’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with our engineering, architecture, and migration teams to inform strategy and architecture design. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest Cloud resources as you lead efforts to prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas including automation, scripting, and containerization while developing critical systems for several of our clients. Join our team as we transform the way Fortune 500’s manage data and information by taking advantage of Cloud technology. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience with Linux or Windows systems administration

  • Knowledge of secure internet protocols

  • Knowledge of managing identities and access in a cloud environment

  • Knowledge of securing network connectivity and data encryption methods

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Knowledge of modern Agile practices

  • BS degree

  • Completion of a Technical Training and Certification Program

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with security tools

  • Knowledge of cloud platform security services and features

  • Knowledge of continuous deployment and delivery philosophies using tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, or Cloud Platform solutions

  • Knowledge of cloud security controls and frameworks, including NIST

  • Ability to use automation tools and IaC to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting

  • Ability to document recommendations and technical concepts

  • Ability to work with curiosity, ingenuity, and adaptability

  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills across distributed teams

  • BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a technical engineering field

  • Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) or CompTIA Cloud+

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Security Specialty, or DevOps Engineer

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Security Engineer Associate

  • GCP Certified Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Security Engineer

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 75,000 to 80,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
