Commercial Cloud Security Director

Key Role:

Act as the Commercial cloud practice leader, driving capabilities in cloud architecture, engineering, operations, and security while contributing to the overall vision and strategy for securing cloud-based services for Fortune 500 clients in the commercial space, across all types of platforms, including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS). Deliver and develop cloud-native solutions to clients that reduce risk to their operations through appropriate security controls. Partner with your peer commercial market leaders to drive related offerings into the market and represent the commercial business in development of the overall cloud solution space for clients. Drive team towards standards and reference architectures that support design patterns warranted across various cloud service providers. Work with the market account teams to develop and deliver appropriate solutions for clients which will include frequent engagement with clients in both selling and project delivery roles. Manage the hiring, mentoring and growth of a strong team of cloud professionals who deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients while working well with each other, and their peers in other capabilities is key. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience across IT, designing and building architectures for private and public clouds, and cloud and hybrid-based systems

  • 5+ years of experience in developing cloud architectures and evaluating solutions for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services

  • Experience building, mentoring, and growing high performing teams

  • Experience working with cloud security tools, such as CASB, CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Experience with leading large project teams acting as the client relationship manager

  • Knowledge of infrastructure architecture and application development methodologies

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in all phases of the proposal life cycle, leading large capture and proposal efforts

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members, peers, and Fortune 500 clients

  • Possession of strong collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • Master’s degree preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $153,400.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
