Key Role:
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization program as a Lead Cost Estimator. Coordinate with the rest of the Cost Team to incorporate lessons learned and recommendations for the client, advancing the 10-year infrastructure Readiness cost model to reflect the 4 characteristics of a good cost estimate: Comprehensive, Well-Documented, Accurate, Credible. Monitor cost estimates against acquisition artifacts. Validate and update cost estimates as necessary based on variances identified against artifacts. Seek to advance the maturity of cost estimates through validation of data and assumptions with technical subject matter experts and other key stakeholders. Meet regularly with Chief Financial Officer staff, and Acquisitions to say in tune with changes that impact spend plan and the 10-year lifecycle cost estimate.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience working in a professional environment
Experience with DCMA and DCAA Cost Accounting
Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards
Knowledge of appropriate data sources to address the specific requirements of projects for monitoring, characterization, analysis and modeling
Ability to supervise and create new approaches and solutions
Master's degree in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Math, Physics, or 8 years of experience total in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience using advanced Excel functions
Experience with the Veterans Affairs
Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
