Cyber Authorization Analyst, Lead

Key Role:

Serve as senior cybersecurity resource with a specialization in cloud and cloud security. Review and modify Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) packages. Act as a senior cybersecurity professional by providing guidance in the modification and review of existing ATO documentation and proactively providing insights into the documentation packets for ATOs and ATC for interagency systems and hardware based on VA and DoD requirements. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders on an appropriate approach to authorizing solutions. Execute on assigned cloud packages or requests for assistance leveraging cloud experience. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in cybersecurity with multiple IT systems involving end-user and enterprise-level network

  • Experience with supporting program or project planning and milestone development

  • Experience with leading a small team of IT professionals.

  • Experience with planning, designing, and overseeing deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale assessment and authorization (A&A) packages, including computer hardware and software, Ports, Protocols and Services (PPS), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), network topologies, vulnerability scans, and test plans

  • Experience in cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks

  • Experience in designing and implementing systems that meet agency cybersecurity policy and regulations 

  • Ability to ensure that systems meet authorization standards for both the client and assist with the documentation of deviations in the POA&M, as appropriate

  • Ability to identify security concerns and weaknesses in documentation

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, Information Systems, or Engineering and 15+ years of experience in a professional work environment or 25+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA

  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $100,900 - $210,700 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $107,200 - $257,500 (annualized USD)
