Emergency Management Exercise Planner, Junior

Key Role:

Analyze emergency management stakeholder requirements and support for the design, development, conduct, and evaluation of exercises, including no-notice Thunderbolt exercises, interagency exercises, operational component exercises, and exercises that involve regional offices and support the implementation of an organizational exercise and evaluation program. Coordinate and maintain the relationship between the contractor's staff and stakeholders to optimize performance and cross-functional expertise and support performance, measurement, and reporting. Apply expertise in emergency management preparedness programs and principles and applicable documents. Maintain responsibility for supporting the quality of deliverables and products, including supporting the program manager with ongoing projects and new projects, and implementing effective and timely remedial actions.

Basic Qualifications:

-1 year of experience with supporting emergency management response projects

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint

-Ability to work at the client site in Washington, DC

-Ability to travel 25% of the time

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with exercise planning or related projects preferred

-Experience with the application of Homeland Security principles and doctrine to the design, development, conduct, and evaluation of exercises

-Experience as an analyst of emergency management policies, programs, and procedures supporting state or federal agencies

-Experience with Microsoft Visio

-Experience with ArcGIS

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in a related field

-HSEEP training attendance
