Executive Strategist Writer, Senior

Key Role:

Report to the executive vice president of corporate affairs, serve as a senior strategic advisor and writer for a range of high-level and special assignments, and work closely with other corporate affairs leaders who oversee the firm’s government relations, marketing, and media relations functions. Perform as a thoughtful and experienced writer and researcher, gather material quickly and confidently, and communicate viewpoints on complex issues impactful to the firm’s strategic agenda. Draft strategic messaging, including speeches, presentations, and journal articles for a wide range of stakeholders ranging from C-suite executives to policymakers. Undertake special writing and research assignments occasionally under time constraints, as necessary. Work collaboratively with colleagues who offer differing approaches. Exhibit an impeccable character and leverage expertise in judgement and presentation for frequent engagement with senior leaders of the firm.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience as a corporate or government strategic messaging expert from either the public or private sectors with proven research, writing, and editing

-10+ years of experience working in defense, intelligence, government services and/or other professional services

-Experience with working in a corporate or commercial marketing environment

-Knowledge of technology growth trends, government contracting, and acquisition and ability to convey creative and innovative solutions to challenges within these realms

-Ability to work in rapidly changing environment, ability to work through ambiguity to creatively solve a problem or challenge

-Ability to perform as a strategic thinker and planner

-Ability to be a self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented.

-Ability to multi-task, and able to work independently and in a team environment

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent written communication skills

-Possession of excellent editorial and client relationship management skills
