Financial Management Analyst

The Opportunity:

That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make sure our key clients can make the most impact. 

As a financial analyst on our team, you’ll create a financial management strategy to help our client succeed. You’ll work with project management, schedulers, and task leads to build an actionable plan for your client to secure the funding needed to achieve their goals. Using your knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies, you’ll provide analytical support to your client for the development of well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, you’ll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project management and task leads. This is your chance to work on high-level Defense systems while imparting your financial analysis expertise to your team.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Federal financial management and budgetary execution

  • Experience with A-11 policies for submitting and executing the budget

  • Experience with Federal Financial Systems,  Federal Financial processes, and data requirements, and with using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

  • Experience in developing executive level presentations and updates

  • Knowledge of the full Federal budgetary cycle to include formulation and execution and budgetary and proprietary ledgers, including United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), Proprietary and Budgetary Accounting, transaction posting logic, and Federal Financial Reporting, including TIER, GTAS, CARS, or DATA Act

  • Ability to develop and manipulate Microsoft Excel pivot tables and gather, organize, manipulate and analyze budgetary data

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and respond to short-fused tasking in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Capital Projects

  • Experience with Oracle Financials

  • Experience with manufacturing accounting systems

  • Experience with Acquisitions and the Federal Acquisition Regulation

  • Knowledge of Federal Accounting

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
