Healthcare Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Analyze the performance, procedures, and processes of complex health systems to improve engineering and operational efficiency. Synthesize data, such as healthcare access, quality, and costs data, to develop findings used to guide healthcare environment of care strategic transformational initiatives. Develop and implement solutions to healthcare industry issues. Apply healthcare discipline expertise to address provider strategic and operational priorities in the pursuit of healthcare delivery transformation. Apply specific functional knowledge and working/general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in biomedical engineering
  • Experience in a healthcare organization with a focus in developing solutions in response to industry issues
  • Experience creating business presentations, and writing business reports/documents
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Knowledge of health systems, healthcare operations, health policy and care delivery models
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in Health Policy, Health Technology/Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, or Environmental and Energy Policy
  • Experience with the federal government
  • Knowledge of quality improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work directly with clients
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking skills to help solve clients’ complex problems
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
