Healthcare Operations Strategy and Policy Analyst

Key Role:

Applies deep understanding of quantitative methods and healthcare policy to implement programs, identify healthcare industry trends, and support critical decisions for health system operations planning and transformation. Understands, analyzes, and addresses clients' most pressing issues by utilizing advanced problem-solving techniques and fielding Booz Allen's innovative, industry-leading capabilities. Analyzes existing policies to ensure compliance and research policies that can help improve outcomes. Contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Communicates analysis to stakeholders through PowerPoint presentation, briefs, and reports.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with support efforts in the areas of policy analysis, government relations, research, or communications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of the legislative process and health policy

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications:  

  • Experience with strategic planning in a healthcare system, medical group, or health plan

  • Experience with commercial healthcare systems, medical groups, or health plans

  • Experience with Access, SAS, or R

  • Knowledge of the healthcare system, medical group, or health plan decision-making processes and issues

  • Ability to build consensus with stakeholders

  • Ability to conduct independent research and create client-ready deliverables

  • Possession of exceptional organizational and time-management skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
