Human Capital Consultant/HR Operations Specialist

Key Role:

Work as part of a dynamic team of consultants performing HR operations support, including personnel action processing in a highly impactful role within a federal government client HR organization. Act as an external consultant as part of a team that influences the client’s direction towards HR program design and implementation to ensure HR programs support the organization's strategic objectives. Serve as a human capital subject matter expert to assist with structured methodology and approach for client efforts in short-term and long-term human resources projects. Comprehend client needs to design and develop effective and comprehensive solutions. Analyze trends and communicate results to the project team that will assist with decision-making. Identify and determine potential solutions to highly complex and ambiguous issues and support the implementation of solutions. Prioritize client deliverables and HR operations support work. This position will span locations in the Washington, DC metro area dependent on project alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with human capital across any of the following: strategic or operational workforce planning, organizational development, organizational design, workforce demand analysis, workforce supply analysis, recruiting strategy development, competency modeling and assessment, leadership development, leadership coaching, or succession planning

-Experience with structuring and conducting quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analyses activities, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of HR operations

-Knowledge of federal human resources policies and processes

-Knowledge of the human capital and talent life cycle

-Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC five days per week

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of talent acquisition challenges in specialist areas, including technical, Cybersecurity, and data science

-Possession of excellent consulting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

-DHS Suitability clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field preferred; MBA, MA, or MS degree a plus
