Joint Forces Military Advisor, Senior

Key Role:

Advise the general or flag officer or key leader (KL) on all organizational initiatives of a new organization that are planned, developed, and implemented, including using organizational interfaces to accomplish client program and system activities for reorganization, capability growth, and flexibility so the organization may be recognized as being on par with other worldwide organizations of similar stature. Advise the KL on the operation of a new organization’s development of organizational goals that support initiatives being developed and implemented. Advise the KL on organizational readiness to accomplish assigned missions. Advise the KL on change management principles that enable the organization to achieve mission tasks, as set forth by senior stakeholders. This position will require international travel.

Basic Qualifications:

-20+ years of experience with mentoring or advising functional, government, or military leaders in the military force environment

-Experience with commanding forces above brigade or service equivalent levels

-Experience as a former brigadier general, rear admiral, or the civilian equivalent

-Knowledge of Joint military operations, including in a specific service, such as Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps

-Ability to instruct, advise, and counsel in an international military environment

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with leading large-scale transformation efforts, including implementing new strategies and reorganizations and standing up new organizations

-Experience with one or more functional military organization areas, including logistics, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), strategies and plans, planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE), intelligence, Cyber, manpower and personnel, or training

-Experience with leadership development and mentoring programs for senior military leaders

-Ability to display basic proficiency in Arabic, including writing and speaking a plus

-MA or MS degree in National Strategic, Security Studies, or a related field
