Model Based Systems Engineer, Senior

As a lead systems engineer on our team, you’ll provide engineering technical direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical objectives. You will apply your model-based systems engineering skills to help solve complex technical challenges while leading and developing a team of junior practitioners. You will work with a diverse team to make recommendations and advise on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts while performing risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience solving complex systems engineering problems using standard methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles and toolsets to solve technical challenges or support engineering programs
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical problems where capabilities are affected by technical achievability, affordability, and schedule
  • Ability to mentor, develop, and lead junior MBSE practitioners
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience training and developing junior MBSE practitioners
  • Experience with DoD technical and engineering requirements in support of Navy program offices
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience investigating design, safety, maintenance, and operational issues with Naval systems
  • OCSMP Model User Level 1, OCUP Foundation Level 1, or an equivalent Certification
