Naval IT Project Manager

The Challenge:

Do you love guiding a project as it develops from concept to completion? Do you have the attention to detail needed to catch issues and course correct? With deliverables on the horizon and a budget to keep in check, project teams need guidance with vision and focus. That’s why we need you, with the skills to provide thought leadership and expertise in supporting a United States Navy (USN) Program Management Office (PMO) for acquisition and sustainment management of an Acquisition Category (ACAT) and Business Category (BCAT) I program. You’ll apply program and project management best practices to manage cost, schedule, and performance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Assigned tasks are typically of high visibility and work products inform senior executives in the DoD chain of command. You’ll work with DoD IT stakeholders to understand applicable policies and requirements. You’ll coordinate with requiring Government activities and Contractor personnel to meet project milestones and minimize risk. You’ll develop and implement the schedules and monitor those plans to manage resources and mitigate risk. You’ll identify issues, develop recommendations for issue resolution, and escalate status updates to client leadership.
