Patient Accounting Solution Expert

Key Role:

Support Booz Allen as a Patient Accounting Solution Expert providing Cerner expertise, support, and knowledge transfer sessions to the National/VISN Councils and local workshops, and VA solution experts. Support translation of Cerner capabilities and nomenclature to enable VA understanding in partnership with the Solution Expert. Bring the VA-assigned solution experts up to speed in their respective areas with solution knowledge. Review and help the Council Admins with the task orders and deliverables, and ensure they are received on time and are completed accurately per program office requirements. Provide support to the Council Admins and members by assisting in the current state workflow and requirements analysis. Assist in review of DoD lessons learned and help incorporate findings into VA workflows. Attend Cerner workshops and assist and support VA staff attending the event. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Cerner Millennium Front Office Revenue Cycle or Back Office Revenue Cycle
  • 2+ years of experience with implementing clinically driven revenue cycle workflows and system configuration
  • Knowledge of front office, middle office, and back office Revenue Cycle Workflows
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Engineering and 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment or 15+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Millennium on code levels 2018 or higher
  • Knowledge of Cerner Model recommendations


The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 110,000 to 160,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
