Payer Acquisition Specialist

The Challenge:

As a government acquisitions specialist, you use your attention to detail and talent for organization to help manage critical documents and team activities. We need you to bring your advanced contract management expertise to our Federal Healthcare Payer team where you’ll be a trusted advisor and a valuable team member who finds creative solutions to complex problems.

On our team, you’ll use your acquisitions strategy, procurement management, contract administration, negotiation, or FAR knowledge to support our military health and VA clients. You’ll apply knowledge of the Federal procurement process to analyze and improve procurement processes, develop, model, and implement dynamic acquisition strategies. In this role, you’ll touch every element of government acquisition, from beginning stages to completion. You’ll review and analyze solicitations for potential risks, guide suggested proposal strategies, and advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies.

As a trusted business partner, you’ll provide insight on the administration of contracts with the United States government, prime contractors, and subcontractors across a breadth of contract types. You’ll also use your strategy and collaboration expertise to administer, analyze and develop a variety of contract types and agreements, as well as assist in development of organizational Conflict of Interest plans.

At Booz Allen, you’ll work with a collaborative team where you’ll leverage your acquisition knowledge to make a positive impact and help our healthcare clients address complex challenges. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in conducting service, supply acquisition, or procurement management
  • Experience in conducting detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data
  • Experience collaborating to produce both high level and detailed requirements
  • Experience with various types of information technology resources such as Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Federal acquisition regulations with ability to read and interpret procurement policy, regulations, and directives
  • Ability to provide clear technical direction and guidance to clients, leadership, and project teams
  • Ability to develop complex acquisition requirements changes and modifications packages in support of government contracting staff, research acquisition issues, advise clients and internal staff on acquisition issues
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience with the VHA and CMS acquisition systems
  • Experience with managing teams to develop recommendations to clients
  • Experience with healthcare and payer environments, challenges, and innovations
  • Possession of strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of strong leadership skills
  • Master's degree in technical, business, or management field
  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level I or higher

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 85,000 to 110,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
