RMF Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in cyber security and Rise Management Framework (RMF) accreditations support? As a systems security & network security engineer, you can identify the tools, systems, and applications needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will streamline and modernize processes and procedures across the DoD.

On our team, you’ll provide Cybersecurity engineering subject matter experience and RMF accreditations support to integrate emerging applications and technologies into Army cloud platforms. You will serve as a subject matter expert on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance activities based upon a comprehensive knowledge of DoD principles and review Cybersecurity packages, including DICAP and RMF, for content and presentation of evidence of proper implementation of Cybersecurity requirements for the Designated Approving Authority (DAA). This includes providing feedback and consultation to Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to ensure that Authorization to Operate (ATO), Interim Approval to Operate (IATO), Interim Authority to Test (IATT), and Approval to Connect (ATC) packages meet the Army RMF standards. Additionally, you will evaluate the overall risk posed by vulnerabilities to Army missions, networks, and data and make recommendations to the Authorizing Official. Develop security documents to support program milestone testing and evaluations.

In this role, you’ll closely impact the DoD and U.S. Army by securing cloud infrastructure and protecting critical data. Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises. Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.
