Submarine Program Senior Advisor

Key Role:
Support the areas of thought leadership, program management, and DoD acquisition and leverage comprehension of R&D, systems engineering, budgeting and finance, maintenance, and fleet support processes. Apply expertise in verbal and written communication, prioritize tasking, and work with program office staff and key stakeholders to assist the program manager with operationalizing vision and goals. Provide thought leadership for modernizing and sustaining the submarine combat and weapons controls system. Provide management oversight to a variety of multi-disciplined teams. Engage with program stakeholders across the enterprise to coordinate effective and efficient approaches accomplishing program milestones. Create and track annual program level requirements, including upcoming events, milestones and major deliverables. Coordinate program managers' meetings, travel to maximize productivity and ensure priorities of the program office are fulfilled, and conduct other tasks, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with supporting Department of the Navy clients in program management, finance, and technical advising

-Experience as a Submarine Executive Officer

-Experience with a full Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle

-Experience with Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

-Knowledge of multiple Navy Program functional domains, including program management, finance, budgeting, acquisition, logistics, maintenance, and product support

-Ability to travel 30% of the time

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with service as a Submarine Commanding Officer preferred

-Experience with supporting a submarine program office preferred

-Ability to coordinate between multiple organizations and stakeholders

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree preferred
