DevOps Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

Do you thrive on working on the cutting edge? Working with innovators in the early stages of ideas, products, or platforms? Crave new challenges by solving difficult customer problems using emerging technology? We are seeking a Tools Lead to join our team to transform the future of maritime vehicles within the U.S. Navy. The right candidate will have technical expertise and experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline development to rapidly evolve autonomous capabilities in Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (UMVs).

As a Tools Lead on our team, you will have the chance to help bring the vision of a Software Factory for autonomous development to life for a Navy client. You will apply specialized knowledge of cloud-specific technologies and services, leverage expertise in the Cloud Command Line Interfaces (CLI) and Cloud SDKs, comprehend cloud architectural constructs, and establish and maintain cloud environments programmatically using vendor consoles or third party tools. You will build enterprise systems and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions to provide direct technical engineering, deployment, and sustainment support across the Cloud architecture and solution life cycles.

You’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of cloud-based resources. You’ll work with our cloud team to inform strategy and architecture design. You will be responsible for implementing design patterns for distributed systems and configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest cloud resources as you lead efforts to prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies. You will be able to broaden your skillset into the areas of cloud security, digital engineering, and pipeline development while gaining experience with autonomous technology. Join us to make your mark and help us evolve these capabilities into industry class solutions. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.
